Song Meaning
“Bring Forth the Royal Robe” is a call to honor the Lord as King of kings, Lord of lords, and Prince of Peace. The repeated invitation to crown him with praise gives the song its congregational focus.
Bible Connections
Revelation 19:16 uses the title “King of kings and Lord of lords.” Isaiah 9:6 includes “Prince of Peace” and “Mighty God.” Those titles explain the lyric’s picture of the ruler being praised.
For Worship
The song can open a service centered on the reign of Christ or lead a congregation into praise.
